Sunday Learning Communities

The Vision

Sunday Learning Communities are designed to teach the Word of God through informing the mind and transforming the heart so that you can make progress in conforming your daily life into the image of Jesus Christ.

Informing:  The Scripture is our foundation for right thinking which brings mental and spiritual renewal.  If you want to stand for Jesus, you must be informed!

Transforming:  The Holy Spirit is God working in our hearts so that we can enjoy our Father’s love forever. If you want to have peace, get transformed!

Conforming:  When we study God’s Word, we are divinely changed into the image of Jesus our Lord.  If you want to live right, you must choose to conform!

To be a disciple means that we are growing in Biblical knowledge and application, developing Christian character, and demonstrating Christian practices.

Our Sunday Learning Communities offer a warm and friendly environment that will enhance your opportunity to experience that growth.

The Tracks

Each class is designed around one of three learning tracks.  All of our tracks offer a great place to start learning about God and to get connected with the Lighthouse community.

Bible Knowledge Track:  Are you ready to study God’s Word?  These classes focus on discovering truth from God’s Word and expository teaching from the Scriptures.  Classes range from an overview of the Bible, Bible history, and developing and Biblical worldview to studies of individual books of the Bible, apologetics, homiletics, and hermeneutics.  Week by week you will discover the power of the Living Word!

Christian Character Track:  Are you ready for a change of heart?  Building Christian character affects our Christian practice.  These classes are designed to help you go deeper in exploring and applying God’s truth into your daily life.  Classes range from an opportunity to explore the weekly message to developing a deeper prayer life and growing in Christian disciplines.

Christian Practice Track:  Are you ready to grow in a particular area of your life?  These classes deliver topical material that will encourage you to grow in key areas.  You’ll learn what the Bible has to say about marriage, parenting, stewardship, worship to witnessing, and much more.
